Celebrate The 757

On July 1, 1996, Hampton Roads began using the area code 757. Those three numbers are more than just a prefix, they have come to symbolize the unique contributions our region has made to sports, entertainment, science, medicine, the economy, and the environment.

There have been many attempts to unite Coastal Virginia towards a common goal. Today, we are excited to witness true regional collaboration and unity in the proclamation of a holiday unique to Hampton Roads.

This holiday, dubbed 757 Day, is about everything that unites our region. From the birth of our nation, to space exploration, sports champions, Grammy award winning entertainers, and our military community, Hampton Roads has a lot to celebrate.
